EXMAN has been developed from the ground up, keeping in consideration the universally accepted security standards that are needed to be implemented in various stages/tiers of the application. The two main components of EXMAN are:
SNO |
RISKS |
BUILT IN PROTECTION |
1 |
Injection |
ORM inherently takes care of this type of risk. Parametriszed interface has been implemented in all the database APIs |
2 |
Broken Authentication and Access control |
Role based authentication has been applied in the Application which allows only the authorized user to access any sensitive data |
3 |
Sensitive Data Exposure |
a. In production, the application has been deployed over a secure server (https) b. The passwords for the application users have been saved in the database in 1- way encrypted form. Even a person with access to the User Table in the database cannot read the password for a user |
4 |
Security Misconfiguration |
Properly configured configurations have been applied. Upgraded patches have been/will be applied as and when available for all the OS, Frameworks and Libraries involved |
5 |
Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) |
Server side input validations haves been implemented |
6 |
Using Components with Known Vulnerabilities |
All the Frameworks/Libraries used in the application have been supplied by the reputable providers. Only the latest stable versions of each library available f rom the official sources have been used |
7 |
Insufficient Logging & Monitoring |
Logs have been implemented to enable logging/monitoring of all the important functionalities of the application |
SNO |
RISKS |
BUILT-IN PROTECTION |
1 |
Sensitive Data Exposure |
Only HTTPS endpoints have been exposed on the production |
2 |
Access control |
Access control has been implemented at each API endpoint using secure Web tokens |
3 |
Denial of Service |
API keys have been implemented to prevent DoS. “Too many requests” has been taken care of |
4 |
Unrestricted HTTP methods |
Allowed HTTP methods have been restricted only to Get/Post |
5 |
Input Validation |
Input validation has been put in place to avoid malicious data f rom entering the system |
6 |
Content Type |
Content type has been validated with the intended content type for each API endpoint |
7 |
CORS |
CORS has been used with the concept, “be as specific as possible and as general as necessary” |
8 |
Error messages |
Error messages have been configured to be as generic as possible to avoid information |
EXMAN makes the management of your hazardous area assets more efficient through the optional use of Certified RFID Tags.
The tags are assigned to the asset at the time of inspection to allow the quick recall during the next inspection or for Asset Management activities.
The RFIDs are Intrinsically Safe and have been assessed for Group I, II & III under IECEx certificate IECEx TSA 21.0010x
